Thomas Parker Kirkaldie, 91, passed away March 7, 2017 at Northern Montana Care Center in Havre, Mt.

He was born May 25, 1925 to Robert and Dora Kirkaldie in Ft. Belknap. Thomas served in the Navy during World War II and the Korean Conflict. Most of his service was spent aboard the USS Kwajalein CVE 98 Aircraft Carrier.

After his military career he went into heavy equipment operation. He worked on a majority of the secondary and major highways in Montana. Later, he worked operating heavy equipment for Long Construction, then Western Energy Co in Colstrip for 15 years. He retired in 1990. Tom could be found mowing grass all over Hays until he was 90.

Survived by his daughter Ione (Raymond) Snell of Hays and son Arlen (Barbie) Kirkaldie of Forsyth, Tom leaves behind adopted children; Janice Brockie, Kenneth Helgeson and Deanna Sell. A sister, Doris Nicholson of Malta, 37 grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild also survive.

He was preceded death by his wife Shirley, his daughter Patty Eagleman, his parents, and brother's Glen, William, Robert, and Douglas, and sisters Lois and Marlene and great grandson Wesley and great granddaughter Emma.

Wake services were held March 12, 2017, 5 PM at the St. Paul's Mission Recreation Center. Funeral services were at 10 AM, March 13, 2017 at St. Paul's Mission Church.
