Senior Nicole McCracken serves the ball in Great Falls this past weekend.

lass B/C ranks for several years and will look to be in contention again this spring.

The 'Beeters had to wait a bit longer than most teams to see their first action due to a busy calendar for many of their players that made getting the required practices more difficult.

The team faced the Chester-Joplin-Inverness Hawks in a dual on Thursday and then headed to Great falls over the weekend where they would get a chance to see a lot of action.

Junior Megan Pruttis returns a volley over the weekend as the 'Beeters began their 2017 Tennis Season. Chinook has been the top team in the Class B/C the past few years and big things are expected again this spring.

In Chester the four varsity returners, senior Nicole McCracken, junior Megan Pruttis, junior Sierra Swank and junior Jamie Roth all had a fine showing, winning all but one of their matches.

Coach Thom MacLean was happy with the overall performance of his team and the play of one caught his eye, "I was impressed with Bailey Zumbrun (Senior). She has improved and stepped up to varsity and played well all three days.

Friday in Great Falls the team was missing a few players but overall it was still a good experience, "We were missing a few players on Friday and Saturday due to music festival, but the five players we took to Great Falls got a lot of tennis against some good competition from a number of teams. Megan and Sierra shook some rust off and played well. I expect a lot from those two.

The 'Beeter will host Chester-Joplin-Inverness this Thursday before taking time off for the Easter break. The team will return to the court on next Tuesday when they will travel to Havre.
