Ruth Foreman Baker

Kalispell, Mt

April 19, 2017

Ruth Foreman Baker was born July 22, 1931 to Glyenn and Nellie Messerly. She was raised on the family homestead near Lodge Pole, Montana where she grew up with her eight brothers and sisters. Ruth passed away peacefully on April 9, 2017 at The Brendan House in Kalispell, Montana. Ruth was 85 years old when she left this earth to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Ruth was a long time resident of Cut Bank, Montana. She worked at Cut Bank Memorial Hospital in her younger years as a CNA and she was a waitress at the Big Sky Cafe for many years. She continued her career in the healthcare industry as an in-home caregiver before retiring in Kalispell, Montana to be near family.

Ruth was a character. She could put a smile on anyone’s face and she had a great sense of humor. She loved all of her children and grandchildren and displayed all of their pictures throughout her house. Ruth prided herself on her work ethic and keeping her house in order. As she aged Ruth struggled with her health and low vision. It was especially difficult for her when she lost her ability to drive as she loved to shop! In her spare time she enjoyed listening to the Bible on her DVD player and visiting with family and friends.

Ruth is preceded in death by her parents Glyenn and Nellie Messerly, six brothers and sisters and her two sons Gordon Graham and Thomas Lee Foreman. Ruth had six children: Gordon “Biggers” Graham, deceased, Lynn Doney of Chamberlain, SD, Judy Flanagan of Hilton Head, SC, Thomas Lee Foreman, deceased, James “Tom” Foreman of Kalispell, Montana, and Virginia Foreman of Portland, Oregon. Ruth’s greatest joy was her 12 grandchildren and her great-grandchildren.

On behalf of the family we would like express our deep appreciation and gratitude to Brendan House staff caregivers for the love and kindness they bestowed on our Mother over the past four years of her life, Calvary Lutheran Church for all of the prayers and dedicated servants who have prayed and visited Mom during this difficult time, and for the out pouring of love from friends. We are truly blessed by your kindness and cannot say Thank You enough.

Services are planned for 1:00 p.m., Friday, April 21, 2017 at Calvary Lutheran Church in Evergreen with Pastor Kurt Rau officiating the service. A celebration of life will follow the service in the fellowship hall.

In Lieu of flowers please make donations to the Kalispell Food Bank, The Animal Shelter or a charity of your choice.

Rest in Peace. We love You!
