Travis Leon First Raised, "Grizzly Bear Boy",24, passed away April 2, 2017. His wake started at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 6, 2017 at the Sacred Heart Church in Fort Belknap. Rosary was held at 7:00 p.m., Thursday, April 6, 2017 at the Red Whip Center in Fort Belknap. At the conclusion of the Rosary, his wake continued until his funeral service at 11:00 a.m., Friday, April 7, 2017. Holland & Bonine Funeral Home has been entrusted with services and arrangements. Travis was born to Mary Adams and Francis First Raised on December 7, 1992 and raised in Fort Belknap. He graduated from Harlem High School in 2011. He then attended Aaniiih Nakoda and received his certificate in carpentry. He worked for different companies over the last few years, including Bishop Construction. Travis became engaged to Kasey Ramone on April 15, 2015. They have a baby boy that was born on January 8, 2016.

Travis was an avid sports and X-Box fanatic. His #1's were the "Fighting Irish" of Notre Dame, the University of Montana Griz, and the Pittsburgh Steelers - to the end! His pastimes included listening to his "old-school" country and soft rock music. He also had a great passion for throwing darts and being a shark at shooting pool.

"Trav Dog" was also known for putting everyone first and making sure they were "good to go" before himself. He had a big heart for all his nieces and nephews – earning the label "Funkel". As everyone can attest, he was noted for giving a nickname to all those he respected and loved.

Travis was preceded in death by his son, Travis First Raised, Jr .; his grandparents, John "Jiggs" & Agnes "Aggie" (Brockie) Adams and Amos & Melvina (Horn) First Raised, Sr; his godfather, "Super" Doney, Sr .; and his nephew, John First Raised, Jr.

He is survived by his fiancée, Kasey Ramone of Fort Belknap; his son Piercyn First Raised of Fort Belknap; his parents, Francis First Raised & Mary Adams of Fort Belknap; three sisters, Kathleen Adams (Ray Cichosz) of Harlem, Dianna First Raised of Fort Belknap, and Jennifer First Raised of CA; his brothers, Taylor (Sharana Gonzales) First Raised, John (Angelina Yellow) First Raised, Rick Doney, and Monty Snow, Jr. all of Fort Belknap; aunts, Mel Doney, Nancy (George) Boushie, Arleda Hopkins, Julia (Ed) Doney, Frankie Johnson, and Verna First Chief; uncles Neil "Poose" (Deeda) Adams, Maurice "Snuff" (Bobbi) Adams, Francis "Cutt" Adams, and Amos First Raised, Jr .; and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends.
