Tornadoes, Thunderbirds receive top Individual performances at Districts in Havre

Turner junior Eddie Harmon ran away from the field in the 800 Meter Run at the District 9C Track and Field Meet in Havre last Wednesday. Harmon won the event in 2:02.87 and also won the 400 Meter run.

The Turner Tornadoes will be well represented at the Northern C Divisional in Great Falls after a strong performance at the District 9C Track and Field meet in Havre last Wednesday.

The Tornadoes were once again led by the effort of junior Eddie Harmon.

Harmon was impressive on the track and ran an exceptional 800 Meter race taking the lead midway through the second lap and coasting to an impressive win finishing in a season best 2:02.89.

Harmons time in the 800 Meter Run is also the fastest in all of Class C this spring.

The junior wasn't done scoring points for the Tornadoes as he added a win in the 400 Meter Dash completing the lap in :52.93 to win the event.

Harmon added a third place finish in the 100 Meter Dash and ran a leg on the Tornadoes short relay as well.

The Tornadoes 4X100 Meter relay of Harmon, Clayton Krass, Jack Harmon and Cody Welsh finished first with a time of :49.18.


The Thunderbirds were led by junior Isiah RunsAbove who dominated the 3,200 Meter run and advanced to the Northern C in four events in all.

Runs Above won the 3,200 Meter run by more than forty seconds completing the eight laps in 10:18.70. His effort in the event also secured his spot at the State C in Laurel next week.

Turner sophomore Sarah Billmayer will compete at the Northern C in three events including the Long Jump.

RunsAbove also won the 1,600 Meter run finishing with a time of 4:53. 49. He will also compete in the Javelin after finishing third at the District 9C and the High Jump following a fifth place finish last week.

Turners Sarah Billmayer will compete for the Tornadoes in three events at the Northern C after earning podium finishes in the 100 Meter Hurdles (4th), 300 Meter Hurdles (3rd) and the Long Jump (5th).


Turner sophomore Cody Welsh was impressive as well winning both the 110 Meter High Hurdles and the 300 Meter Hurdles in Havre. Welsh will also compete in the High Jump at the Northern C.

Senior Tough Snow will also compete for the Thunderbirds as will freshman Jack Harmon.
