Remember to keep July 22-23rd open on your calendar. The St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church of the Big Flat will be celebrating their 100th anniversary these two day. Lots of fun with picnics, etc. to take place. More information to come as it gets closer.

There will be a Car Show-Fly In this coming Saturday in Turner. The Lions will be holding a breakfast at the Legion Hall from 8:00-12:00 noon. Come support this worthwhile group and enjoy a delicious breakfast.

The Turner Volunteer Fire Department is in the process of selling raffle tickets for a half of (good hand fed) beef. If you would like a chance of winning a half of beef and help out the Volunteer fire department, contact any of the Turner fire department men. You may also call 379-2289 or 379-2235 if you are unable to stop and talk to one of these fellas in person for a ticket. Money generated from this event will help purchase needed materials for the department.

There will be a short VBS program on Friday, June 16th at the Lutheran Church at 11:15. Everyone is invited to attend.

There will be a RABIES CLINIC this Friday, June 16th from 11:00-1:00 at the Old Fire Hall in Turner. Blaine County Veterinary Service will be out to vaccinate cats and dogs. Big Flat 4-H Club is sponsoring the event. Ezzie’s Wholesale will also be on Main Street to service any fire extinguishers that you may have as well. Hope to see you there!

The Annual meeting of the Blaine County Water and Sewer District #1 will be Wednesday, June 21st at 7:30 p.m. at the fire hall meeting room.

A group of Turner boys basketball team traveled to Cutbank on Friday to compete in a two day tournament.

Eleven boys went and enjoyed playing lots of basketball.

Miles, Linda, and Lyndsay Hutton were to Billings to watch Reece play in the Class B All Star game. Reece was chosen as one of the captains for the north and the north won 59-20. While there they stayed with Deb Roudebush and took in the Garth Brooks concert with P.J. and Aimee Timmons and Brent and Shawna Evans and Deb.

Darel Hauge attended the Pioneer Power Days in Lewistown over the weekend.

Randy and Diana Maloney and family were to Havre on Sunday to take Dan and Helen out for brunch to help Dan celebrate his 86th birthday. Happy Birthday, Dan!!

Colleen and Landon Hickel were to Pendroy over the weekend to meet Colleen’s new great nephew.

Randy and Diana Maloney and family stopped in at Tim and Hilary Richman’s home in Harlem to wish Natalie a happy birthday. Her birthday was earlier in the week. Happy Birthday, Nattie!!

Shania and Diana Maloney enjoyed a weekend together in Billings taking in the Garth Brooks/Trisha Yearwood Concert. While in town they stayed with Cindy Reed. They enjoyed seeing her and catching up on visiting, as well as a “little” shopping!!

There will be a community picnic at the Turner Park Sunday, June 25th at 5:00pm to celebrate Don & Bonnie Harmon’s retirement from the Blaine II Ambulance Crew. Potluck salads & desserts. Please bring lawn chairs.
