The Harlem swim team sent four swimmers to Scobey and brought home a High Point trophy as well.

The Scobey contingent comprised of Chinook swimmers Lori Mord, Amanda Mord, Jenny Mord, Halie Neibauer, Kohen Sullivan, Katie Tilleman and Daniel Tilleman. Harlem swimmers included Taggert Devaney, Andrew Rasmussen, Kyle Hudon and Elleonna Azure.

Rasmussen earned top finishes in the 200 Meter Individual Medley, the 100 Meter Backstroke and the 200 Meter Freestyle to win his second High Point of the season.

Chinooks Katie Tilleman and Daniel Tilleman also won their second High Point of the season by winning all three of their individual events.

In Shelby the Chinook Lions got High Point efforts from Nathaniel Plainfeather and Evy Jendro with both claiming three individual event wins. The Lions also had Unique Jendro and Clara Laird swimming in Shelby and both performed very well placing in all three of their events.

"I'm so proud of all our swimmers this weekend in Scobey and Shelby" stated Lions Head Coach Suzanne Farmer.

Harlem's Andrew Rasmussen was again a High Point winner in Scobey after claiming victory in the 13-14 boys 200 Meter Freestyle, 100 Meter Backstroke and 200 Meter Individual Medley.

The Lions had limited numbers at both meets but were all swimming Sunday, "They did an incredible job, in Scobey we finished sixth with only seven swimmers. We had 11 swimmers compete this weekend and four won High Point by winning all their events," added Farmer. "Every single swimmer we had competed in the Championship finals on Sunday, I couldn't be more proud of them."

The Chinook Lions will stay home this weekend as they will host their annual Invitational this weekend with a large number of teams including Harlem are expected to be on hand.

“We expect to have a good weekend, we’ll have most all of our swimmers in the pool, competing and ready to do their best,” said Farmer.

The Chinook pool will be a busy place this weekend so be on the lookout for children and adults when driving by or stop in and watch the swimmers compete.

The summer swim season is a busy one with teams competing every weekend leading up to the Divisional meet in Sydney July 29-30 and the State Swim Meet in Lewistown August 5-6.
