Havre, Montana – Customer Service is important to Northern Montana Health Care. “Being the healthcare provider of choice” is part of their mission statement. Taking the time to recognize excellence in their employees is one of the ways they try to achieve this goal.

The “C.A.R.E.” Award was started as part of their Customer Service Group, “The High Five Club”. C.A.R.E. stands for Compassionately Achieving Remarkable Excellence. The purpose of this bi-monthly recognition award is to acknowledge employees who have served at NMHC in an exceptional manner by exemplifying outstanding service through his or her work, and consistently exhibiting a positive and supportive attitude.

Employees at NMHC nominate their fellow employees for this award. This week NMHC presented the C.A.R.E. Award to William “Bill” Tucker, a member of the Laboratory Services team. Bill has worked at NMHC for 4 years.

“Bill’s co-workers nominated him for his strong work ethic. Bill is our primary phlebotomist at the Northern Montana Specialty Medical Center,” Stated Cindy Lamb, NMH Lab Director. “His patients appreciate his gentle manner and professional demeanor. His co-workers rely on him for his steadfastness and willingness to help out. Bill is also an excellent community member, being very active in the VFW Honor Huard, VP of Eagles Aerie 166, member of the local American Legion, a coordinator of the Recycle Hi-Line project, and a driving force behind the 1st annual “Stand Down” event held for Hi-Line Veterans.”

Bill was presented with a special logoed jacket as part of a surprise announcement from the High Five Club at NMHC on Tuesday. Photos from the event can be found on the Northern Montana Hospital page on Facebook. Nominations are now being sought for the next recipient.
