After a long stretch of record hot temperatures and dry conditions, locals got a break as the rains finally came. Like the few random showers through the summer, the most recent rains were spotty by amount but still greatly appreciated. Immediate forecasts are for cooler than normal overnight temperatures and low percentages for more rain. Steady rain was reported over the East Fork Fire and provided much help to those still on the scene in hopes of reaching 100 percent containment.
