The Chinook Sugarbeeters scored early and often in a 50-0 shellacking of the Rocky Boy stars Friday evening.

The battle between Northern Eight-man 'B' Division foes was never in question as the Sugarbeeters took the opening kickoff and marched down the field at will.

Junior Chase Moxley found the end zone on seven yard scamper just over a minute into the contest. Junior Trajan Hannum connected with junior Brenden Edwards on the conversion and the 'Beeters were quickly up 8-0.

The 'Beeter defense stood tall on the ensuing possession forcing a three and out and the Stars to punt from their own end zone.

Hannum picked up 11 yards on the first play from scrimmages. Moxley followed with a 19 yard pick up and junior James Christensen powered his way down to the two yard line. Hannum lined up behind center and dove into the end zone on the ensuing play for a 14-0 'Beeter advantage.

The 'Beeter defense was again strong with the Stars pinned deep in their own territory forcing a turnover on downs and giving the offense the ball back on the Rocky Boy 2 yard line.

Sophomore JT Hauer scored on the first play from scrimmage to give the 'Beeters a 20-0 lead heading into the second quarter of action.

The Stars mounted their best offensive possession late in the first quarter moving the ball into 'Beeter territory for the first time.

Hauer made a nice play on first down breaking up a pass attempt. On second down he made an even better one, picking off the Rocky Boy quarterback and giving the ball back to the offense.

A few possessions later Chinook took over at the Stars 20 yard line. Moxley gained 10 yards on first down and a Rocky Boy personal foul gave Chinook the ball inside the five yard line.

Chinook found themselves short of the goal line with fourth down showing on the yard stick. Dumas took the hand off and barreled in from four yards out and Chinook led 28-0 after a Hannum conversion run.

The Stars again moved the ball down the field but a fantastic play from Christensen forced a fumble and the junior picked up the loose ball and raced 64 yards for another 'Beeter touchdown and a 34-0 lead.

Chinook closed out the half with a Christensen interception which led to a Hannum 1 yard score. The 'Beeters added a safety and led 44-0 at intermission.

The younger kids started the second half and played very well against the Rocky Boy first team. Freshman Garrett Pruttis scored the only touch down of the half giving Chinook a 50-0 win.

Naturally head coach Christian Lehnert is pleased with his teams progress heading into a Homecoming contest with Simms, "I believe we are turning the corner were starting to see some team building/continuity going on and able to see some fundamentals finally starting to come out in the games. For them to come out and have control of the game from the first quarter to the last quarter is a big deal and put four quarters together is a big deal for us. Now it's time for us to keep doing this more consistently."

The game against Simms is a big one and the 'Beeters hope to cash in, "Hopefully we can take this momentum heading in to homecoming week and keep building on this and we will string couple wins together. We can't overlook anybody we have to put full games together and execute in order to win against any team that we come against. This is northern eight-man football and records don't mean much because anybody can win on any given day," added Lehnert.

"Being able to get leads like that definitely helps build your future when you're able to play JV for a whole second half. Our future looks very bright with how our JV played that second half of football we are pretty excited," concluded Lehnert.
