This week we have four books from bestselling authors ready to go. "Haunted" is the latest Detective Michael Bennett thriller from James Patterson. "The Cuban Affair" by Nelson DeMille features an exciting new character-U.S. Army combat veteran Daniel "Mac" MacCormick, now a charter boat captain, who is about to set sail on his most dangerous cruise. In a treacherous global conspiracy, covert operative Mitch Rapp is the target of one of America's closest allies in "Enemy of the State" by Vince Flynn. International bestselling author Ken Follett has enthralled millions of readers with "Pillars of the Earth" and "World Without End," two stories set in the fictional city of Kingsbridge. The saga now continues with Folle's magnificent new epic, "A Column of Fire."

We have tree non-fiction books available this week. When it comes to anxiety, depression, and stress-related illnesses, America is the frontrunner. Thankfully, there's a practical prescription for dealing with these issues. "Anxious for Nothing," the most recent book from New York Times bestselling author, Max Lucado, provides a roadmap for battling with and healing from anxiety. "13 Things Mentally Strong Parents Don't Do" By Amy Morin is a guide to raising self-assured children and training their brains for a life of happiness, meaning and success. Xiuhtezcatl Martinez is a 16-year-old climate activist, hip-hop artist, and powerful new voice on the front lines of a global youth-led movement. He and his group the Earth Guardians believe that today's youth will play an important role in shaping our future. They know that the choices made right now will have a lasting impact on the world of tomorrow, and people young and old are asking themselves what they can do to ensure a positive, just, and sustainable future. "We Rise: the Earth Guardians Guide to Building a Movement that Restores the Planet" by Xiuhtezcatl Martinez advises us to challenge the status quo, change the face of activism, and confront climate change head on with the ultimate blueprint for taking action.

Wednesday movies are showing again! Shane will be the movie today at 1:00 p.m. in the library meeting room. It is not rated and running time is 1 hour and 57 minutes. Everyone is welcome to attend and refreshments will be served. Hidden Figures will be October 11th. We will be showing the movies with closed captioning whenever possible. Hopefully this will encourage those who may have difficulties hearing the movies to attend.

We are now able to turn on patron history in our catalog. If you are one of those patrons who wish we could tell you what you already read, this is a feature you will love. Any patron who wants this feature turned on, just needs to let us know and we will take care of it! Another service available at the library is Shoutbomb. Shoutbomb is a great service that patrons can sign up for and it will alert you via text message when you have an item about due or overdue. This service also enables you to renew items if there are no holds. If you are a patron who could benefit from this service, follow the link on our website and sign up! For all patrons who enjoy audio books or eBooks, we have MontanaLibrary2Go. This service allows patrons to download audio and eBooks to portable devices or home computers. Follow the link on our website to learn how to use this service. The best part is all of these services are paid for from our budget and they are free to our patrons! If you have any questions or need help with any of these services, just give us a call or stop in with your device and we will be glad to help you.
