What 'cher point?

God is good! The Grizzlies won and the Bobcats lost! No, I don’t mean that. Those words were written by my evil twin brother, Mean Robby.

I am sorry that MSU lost, but I am very happy that the Griz finally won a road game and now that curse is behind them. For those who just want to know the facts, Weber State beat the Bobcats 25 to 17. Meanwhile the Griz played Portland State with a score of 45 to 33.

Closer to home, Chinook did a number on Simms, beating them 34 to 14. Kudos to Chinook! Far away in Big Sandy Land, for Homecoming and Chili Feed the Pioneers beat North Star 56 to 26.

In Capital letters please! MSU NORTHERN BEAT MAYVILLE STATE 43 TO 29. Well played Northern. My Methodist school, Rocky lost to Southern Oregon but it was as close a game as you can imagine. The score was 24 to 23.

Havre lost to Sidney, the Thunderbirds lost to Belt and Harlem beat Poplar by forfeit.

Not a bad weekend for Northern Montana!

I am so tired of hearing the media go on and on about who is on their knees and who isn’t when the National Anthem is being played that I could simply puke. It is fine to stand and show respect for our flag. It is also fine to do what the Cowboys did last weekend by kneeling before the Anthem and then standing and holding hands during the Anthem. Here is the thing. If one or two people want to not stand during the Anthem, that is their business but our great leader in the White House and the mostly very liberal media have chosen to make it a big deal. Shut up about it and it will all be over in two weeks. Keep blabbing about it and aiming the cameras at those who are not standing and it will haunt this whole season!

How about some predictions? Can we do as well as last week is the big prediction?

Montana can beat Idaho State on the road. Montana State can beat Portland State at home.

Northern cannot beat Eastern Oregon this weekend and Rocky is off this weekend.

Havre can beat Billings Central, Harlem can beat Fairfield, Chinook can beat Centerville and the Thunderbirds cannot beat Choteau.

In the mighty NFL it is the Patriots beating the Buccaneers on Thursday night.

On Sunday the Panthers beat the Lions, the Colts beat San Francisco and the Dolphins beat the Titans.

The Bills beat the Bengals, the Giants beat the Chargers and the Steelers beat the Jaguars.

The Cards beat the Eagles, the Seahawks beat the Rams and the Ravens lost to the Raiders.

The Packers beat the Cowboys, the Chiefs beat the Texans and on Monday night the Vikings beat the Bears.

That is my story and I am sticking to it. Go Thunderbirds!
