What 'cher point?

Good for the Bobcats and the Grizzlies this week. Both won their Saturday games. The Bobcats finished off Portland State 30 t0 22. The mighty Griz beat Idaho State 39 to 31. Good playing on the part of both teams.

In the Frontier League about all I could come up with at press time is Western beating Montana Tech 42 to 35. That was a game that was supposed to go the other way. Carroll lost to the College of Idaho 21 to 6. That wasn’t supposed to end that way either.

Closer to home Chouteau beat the Thunderbirds 74 to 6 and Havre lost to Billings Central 55 to 0. Fairfield beat Harlem 49 to 6. The only other score I have at this time is that Valier beat Big Sandy 19 to 7,

Let’s take a look at the NFL at the end of last week. By the way, some of my friends are not going to be watching the NFL this season because of the standing for the flag issue. They are going to be missing some good games. I am not going to miss those games. Keep politics out and just play football is what I say.

So in the American Conference the leaders are Buffalo, Pittsburgh, Denver and Kansas City.

In the National Conference it is Philadelphia, Atlanta, Carolina, Detroit, Green Bay and the L. A. Rams. It is a shock to me that some of those teams are doing so well. I would never have thought it. My two teams, the Patriots and the Seattle Sea Hawks are not doing so well. Seattle is 1 and 2 and the Patriots are 2 and 2.

Extreme Losers are San Francisco, Chicago, The Giants, the Chargers and Cleveland. Most of those are zero and four. Not good for four games into the season.

How about some predictions for this coming weekend.

Montana plays North Dakota. Hold on to your hats, they win that one. The Bobcats play Eastern Washington. The Bobcats win too although both of those games will be very close.

This weekend Northern plays Rocky. Let’s give that one to Rocky.

Closer to home it is a seeded playoff for Chinook. It looks like the Thunderbirds are in playoff time as well. Harlem plays Malta and loses. Havre loses to Livingston.

For week six in the mighty NFL it is on Thursday night the Panthers beating the Eagles.

On Sunday it is the Ravens over the Bears, the Texans over the Browns and the Packers over the Vikings.

It is the Lions over the Saints, the Falcons over the Dolphins and the Patriots over the Jets.

It is the Redskins over the Forty Niners, the Cards over the Buccaneers and the Rams over the Jaguars.

It is the Steelers and the Chiefs and that one is too close to predict. Probably it will go to the Steelers but maybe not.

It is the Raiders over the Chargers and on Sunday night it is the Broncos over the Giants.

On Monday night it is the Colts over the Titans.

That’s my story and I am sticking with it Go Thunderbirds!
