National Christmas Tree makes stops in Blaine County

November 22, 2017

Over 200 people greeted the National Christmas Tree caravan as it stopped on Highway 2 in Chinook, adjacent to Town Pump. Meadowlark Elementary Principal Jonathan Martin worked hard early in the week to secure the opportunity for students, K-12 as well as the entire community to see the tree. The National Tree will soon be on display in front of the White House in Washington D.C. The tree was taken from the Kootenai National Forest. The banner running the length of the trailer on both sides features thousands of signatures from students, teachers and community members who have witnessed the trees journey across the country. The National Tree made stops across Montana including Chinook and Fort Belknap.
