What 'cher point?

What Happened? The Brawl of the Wild was won by MSU last Saturday afternoon. The score was 31 to 23. I had predicted that the Griz would win the Brawl as they have the better team or so I thought. Anyway, had the Griz won, they would be off to the playoffs. Not so with Bozeman who played their last game of the season Saturday.

I think that the Griz had a better team and I don’t think there was any home field advantage as both teams have played on both fields several times.

No, the fact that the Bobcats won the game was simply because they had more desire to win than the Griz. The Griz knew they had the better team and did not put the winning desire into the game like the Bobcats did. I know there was some problem with the Griz quarterback and an injury but that game should have been won by Montana.

Montana State played their heart out and kept the Great Divide Trophy and I guess that was the way it should have been!

John Elway and his Broncos are wondering the same thing in a way. Here is what John Elway knows. (Elway is a part owner of the Broncos and was their famous quarterback for several years and won a Super Bowl.)

He knows that he has a team that is good enough to get to a Super Bowl this year if they only had a quarterback. He also knows that he is the only really good quarterback in his organization. Brock Osweiler is very young and still learning and there is no one better. As a result, the Broncos just sit and wait and lose until Elway figures out how to lure a really great quarterback into the organization.

I love the fact that finally Philadelphia has a chance to be in the Super Bowl.

Can you pick the two prongs of the Super Bowl yet? In the American Conference I think it is going to be New England or Pittsburgh. I think Pittsburgh actually has a better chance than New England.

In the National Conference it is obviously going to be Philadelphia and maybe the Rams or Seattle. Those are my guesses for this week!

How about some predictions?

We are down to just the NFL in predictions and this is week twelve. So on Thanksgiving it is the Vikings over the Lions, the Cowboys over the Chargers and the Redskins over the Giants.

On Sunday it is the Chiefs over the Bills, the Titans over the Colts, and the Browns over the Bengals or that could go the other way just as well.

It is the Falcons over the Buccaneers, the Patriots over the Dolphins and the Eagles over the Bears.

It is the Panthers over the Jets, the Rams over the Saints and the Seahawks over the 49ers.

IT is the Jags over the Cards, the Raiders over the Broncos and the Steelers over the Packers.

Monday Night Football, it is the Texans over the Ravens.

That is my story and I am sticking to it. Go Thunderbirds!
