December 13, 2017

Hays, MT, December 7, 2017– On Tuesday, December 5th, 2017, Island Mountain Development Group (IMDG), the economic arm of the Assinniboine and Gros Ventre Tribes of the Fort Belknap Indian Community (FBIC), opened their new 13,400 square feet eCommerce call center in Hays, MT.

This new building is equipped with 1,200 mega bites of broadband capability, houses space for 270 call center representatives, executive offices, a training center for employees, an exercise room, and employee kitchen and cafeteria.

IMDG currently employs over 120 employees and the new building allows IMDG to expand their business opportunities on behalf of the Assinniboine and Gros Ventre Tribes and more than double the current employment level.

This expansion will provide employment opportunities to an area with historically high unemployment levels and the potential to infuse over $9,000,000 in payroll to the Fort Belknap Indian Community and surrounding communities' economies.

With IMDG's current call center and this new addition to the IMDG business complex, this enables the corporation to employ over 330 call center representatives alone to compete in the global marketplace.

On behalf of the Fort Belknap Indian Community, IMDG is excited to provide employment opportunities that provide competitive wages, comprehensive benefits and provide a career pathway for Tribal members. IMDG Team Leader, Anthony Stricker, said of the new expansion, "I am glad the company is growing. I see this growth bringing in a lot of jobs for a lot of people. Especially in my specific company, there is a lot room right now as we speak to hire more people."
