January 31, 2018

The Blaine County Library Board of Trustees will hold their regular monthly meeting today at 11:00 a.m. in the library meeting room.

Join us tomorrow, February 1st at 6:00 pm. in the library meeting room. The library will be hosting a health workshop presented by the Blaine County Health Department. Attendees will learn what to do and how to use tools and resources, to care for a child when they are sick or hurt. There will be free gifts and a healthy dessert provided for all participants!

The library will be closed Friday February 2, 2018 for staff training.

Pure Country will be the movie today at 1:00 p.m. in the library meeting room. It is rated PG and running time is 1 hour and 53 minutes. Everyone is welcome to attend and refreshments will be served. The Way We Were will be showing February 7th. We are showing the movies with closed captioning whenever possible. Hopefully this will encourage those who may have difficulties hearing the movies to attend.

Goodbye Christopher Robinson is the only new movie available this week. In pursuit of a Russian sleeper cell on American soil, CIA analyst Vivian Miller uncovers a dangerous secret that will threaten her job, her family—and her life in “Need to Know” by Karen Cleveland. “The Immortalists” by Chloe Benjamin is a sweeping novel of ambition and depth that probes the line between destiny and choice, reality and illusion, this world and the next. It is a deeply moving testament to the power of story, the nature of belief, and the unrelenting pull of familial bonds. “The Other Side of Everything” by Lauren Doyle Owens is a suspenseful literary debut about three generations of neighbors whose lives intersect in the aftermath of a crime. “The Weight of an Infinite Sky” by Carrie La Seur explores the heart and mystery of Big Sky Country in this novel of family, home, love, and responsibility inspired by William Shakespeare’s Hamlet. La Seur is and energy and environmental lawyer in Billings. She is a Rhodes Scholar and seventh-generation Montanan.

Be sure to check out the on-going book sale in the entryway while you are here. You may find something you just can’t do without! All proceeds from our book sales go into our memorial fund and are used for special programming and items to enhance the library. We also have a cart of discarded magazines free for the taking!

There is always something going on at the library. Check us out on Facebook or look us up on our website at http:www.blainecountylibrary.org for up to date information about what’s going on!
