Seilstad honored at 2017 Annual Session "Harvesting Opportunities"

Kendra Seilstad, of MSU Extension, Blaine County, was honored recently at the National Extension Association for Family and Consumer Sciences 2017 annual session, "Harvesting Opportunities".

Kendra was a member of the team that received the 1st Place State and 1st Place Western Region Community Partnership Award at the conference held October 16 – 20, 2017 in Omaha, Nebraska.

In receiving the award, the Montana Family Consumer Science Team was recognized for DEEP which is an evidence based diabetes self-management program that has been shown successful in helping participants take control of their disease and reduce the risk of life threatening complications.

The Community Partnership Award recognizes NEAFCS members for outstanding community partnership efforts in meeting the needs of families through collaboration with group, agencies and consumers.

It recognizes members for their efforts in building community partnerships to meet the educational needs and concerns of families. Kendra Seilstad's commitment to meeting the needs of individuals, families and communities is exemplary.
