May the “Luck of the Irish” be with you this week!
We are so excited to have Steve Edwards come talk to us on Wednesday, March 14 about the Mt. Rushmore and Black Hills trip he is hosting. It will start at 11:30 a.m., so make sure you get here early to get a seat.
Center activities this week include the movie “My Side of the Mountain” being shown on Wednesday, March 14 at 1 p.m. in the library meeting room. Popcorn and a drink are provided.
Whist is played Wednesday, March 14 at 1 p.m. in the main room.
We will be having a special guest speaker on Thursday at 11:30 a.m. about the LIEAP Program.
On Thursday afternoon, Bingo is played at 1 p.m. Last week’s Blackout winner was Virginia Olson.
On Friday, for St. Patrick’s Day, we will be celebrating with Irish Stew. Be sure to wear green! The Kitchen Band will also be playing. We usually have a couple of tables of Pinochle going every Friday afternoon and always welcome more. Last week’s winner was Lois Butcher with high score and Myrla McCoy with low score. Marilyn Williamson had two Pinochles out of four hands.
This is the last week of the raffle for the beautiful “Double Wedding Ring” quilt donated by the late Norma Wisch. It is on display here at the center. Tickets are 6 for $5 or $1 each. The drawing will be on Friday, (St. Patrick’s Day) at the lunch. You can get tickets from me or Rochelle. The senior center is facing cutbacks so please support this fundraiser. All proceeds will go towards our Meals on Wheels program.
On Monday, March 19, the center will be closed for the potluck. There will be no deliveries that day.
Cancer Support Group will be Tuesday, March 20 with speaker Mark Weber. Please call ahead for a reservation or just come and listen. This starts at 11:30 a.m.
The Milk River Genealogy Society meets at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, March 20 with Vernelia Tilleman hosting.
On Tuesday afternoons, we also play Shanghai Rummy. Last week’s winner was Lila Steffensmier.
Card Party winners on Sunday were high – Larry Wisch and Cassie Morgan, low – Lila Steffensmier, and Double Pinochle – Curtis Chapman and Virginia Olson.
AARP is offering a Driver’s Safety Class on Wednesday, March 21. You will need to come down to the center to sign up for this.
Stop by and see us at the center… the coffee is always on.
