Photos from: Old "wooden bridge" play equipment removed from Sweet Memorial Park in Chinook

Joe Kennedy, right, and Elmer Zarn work on the final standing supports of the old wooden bridge play equipment at Sweet Park in Chinook. The Park Board asked to have the wooden equipment removed because of insurance concerns. It's believed the Chinook Lions Club installed the old bridge and curly slide, next to the bridge, in the early 1970's. There are currently no plans to remove the curly slide as it is metal and 'grandfathered in' under the insurance coverage.
