The Turner Volunteer Fire Department recently held their annual fund-raiser/appreciation picnic. The event was held at the Turner Park under bright, warm, Big Flat skies. Potluck side dishes were complimented to the burgers and corn that the firemen provided. A great time was had throughout the afternoon with horseshoes,, slip and slides,and swimming for the children. The big hit was supervised rides on the Big Red truck around town. Lots of visiting about fun was had by all. There was an opportunity to help fill the boot with donations for the upcoming year and if anyone would like to make a donation, they are still gladly accepting donations. The Children look forward to having a ride on the big red fire truck each year and might even get in a little water war. They are supervised by Chief, David Jones, Driver, Gavin Maloney, and Bryan Ricci. The little ones wanted more, more!!! It was in fact a great ride for the littles of all ages!
