Photos from: South of the Border, "Grandview: a cemetery for pioneer children"

Sharon Lerum of rural Galata, stands at the entrance to the Grandview Cemetery where she is the volunteer caretaker. The cemetery was established in 1911 and was first used to bury children of settlers in the Grandview area, a rural community about 15 miles north of Galata. Some say the community took its name from the view to the north of the Sweet Grass Hills.
