Investigators familiar with cattle mutilations say this mutilation fits the pattern found in 80-85% of mutilation cases with the skin of one jaw and the tongue removed (shown in photo) and no blood on the ground. Sexual organs are typically gone in all cases. Since 1967 it is believed about 10,000 mutilations have been reported in the U.S., most of them in western states.
