Mariah Eide of rural Whitlash poses with a copy of "The Wild West," her first published novel. The novel is a "western" with a modern setting. Mariah, who was born with cerebral palsy that affects her speech and limb movements, uses an "eye mouse" program to type what she writes. She graduated from CJI High School in 2015.
