It's that time of year for spring sports and one where the Sugarbeeter Tennis team has excelled through the years, the post season.

The Northern B/C Divisional Tennis meet takes place this Friday and Saturday in Havre with the top four single players and the top two doubles teams will advance to the State Tournament in Great Falls the following week.

The Sugarbeeters have had a strangle hold on the Northern B/C Tournament for many years. This year the squad has fewer players but their expectations are still high.

The Doubles team of senior Megan Pruttis and Sierra Swank have plenty of experience and have played very well together earning a third place finish at the State B/C a season ago.

Swank and Pruttis have continued to play at a high level this season and their sights are set on earning more hardware these next few weeks.

Senior Jamie Roth has been performing very well for the Sugarbeeters in the singles bracket. Roth also has state tournament experience and won two matches on the big stage a season ago.

This years team also includes freshman Jade Cecerle and Lily Surber. Both girls have really absorbed a lot of experience and have progressed very well.

Having to play more experienced players has definitely helped Surber and Cecerle improve their game and can't be counted out when it comes to the state tournament roster.

The State B/C will be held in Great falls May 18-19.
