June 13, 2018

These students are the High School winners from Turner School that competed in the American Legion Auxiliary Poppy contest. The poppy is a red crepe paper flower that is made by Veterans as part of a therapeutic rehabilitation and distributed across the country in exchange for monetary donations that assist disabled veterans and hospitalized Veterans. There was a criteria to follow in the contest and winners were given in various levels of competition. These are the winners from the Turner Junior and High School. Mrs. Brenda Mohar, American Legion Auxiliary, Post 109, came to the school to present the awards. They are L-R: Jack Harmon, Mrs. Mohar, Lacey Hickel, and Brandy Calvert. Congratulations to you all! You've done an outstanding job!
