Tester Secures $18 Million to Upgrade Infrastructure at 17 Montana Airports

(U.S. Senate)—As part of his #ConnectMT initiative, U.S. Senator Jon Tester secured $18 million to upgrade infrastructure at 17 Montana airports.
Tester secured the grants through the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to improve airport safety, rehab runways, construct terminals, and purchase snow removal equipment.
“These funds will help our airports invest in critical needs that will keep travelers safe and connected,” Tester said. “Investments like this will help local business thrive and provide a boost to the community.”
Tester secured the FAA grants for the following Montana airports:
Cut Bank International Airport,Cut Bank, MT - $1,163,449 to rehab the airport’s apron.
Missoula International Airport,Missoula, MT - $1,124,896 to construct terminal building and rehab runway.
Circle Town County Airport,Circle, MT - $257,670 to conduct study and rehab aprons and runway.
Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport - Bozeman, MT: $3,449,219 to Expand airport’s apron and extend taxiways.
Mission Field Airport, Livingston, MT - $123,990 to Update airport’s master plan study.
Glacier Park International Airport, Kalispell, MT - $2,073,999 to Update airport’s master plan study and rehab apron and runway.
Havre City-County Airport, Havre, MT - $1,609,375 to rehab taxiway and install navigational aids.
Billings Logan International Airport, Billings, MT. $2,017,594 to expand terminal building.
Lincoln Airport, Lincoln, MT - $95,400 to construct taxiway.
Bert Mooney Airport, Butte, MT - $190,824 to conduct study and construct terminal building.
Helena Regional Airport, Helena, MT - $2,126,019 to expand terminal building.
Turner Airport, Turner, MT - $130,965 to construct taxiway, rehab apron, taxiway and runway.
Twin Bridges Airport, Twin Bridges, MT - $1,296,350 to construct access road, construct taxiway, expand apron, and install perimeter.
Stevensville Airport, Stevensville, MT - $165,465 to install taxiway lighting, reconstruct apron and taxiway.
Sidney-Richland Regional Airport, Sidney, MT - $99,000 to install runway guidance system.
Ravalli County Airport, Hamilton, MT - $1,850,000 to install weather reporting equipment and reconstruct taxiway.
Frank Wiley Field Airport, Miles City, MT - $144,000 to acquire snow removal equipment and conduct environmental study.
State of Montana-Airport Developments, $180,000 to conduct state system plan study.
