Chinook Blood Drive draws from 47 donors

November 14, 2018

Great turnout for the Red Cross Blood Drive on Tuesday November 6th. We had 47 donors present on a goal of 40 with only 2 deferrals. Great Job Chinook.

We had two first time donors, Kendra McMaster and Sally Halingstad.

The canteen was hosted by the St Gabriel’s PCCW those helping out in the kitchen were Patty Hall, Ben Hall, Evelyn Schubert and Ken Schubert.

Pastor Jack Mattingly and the United Methodist Church once again provided the site for the drive at Wallner Hall. Donna Murdy and Judy Johnson attended to the check in and welcome table. Chrissy Downs and the JUMP group returned the tables and chairs back to their original spots and Finley’s Food Store provided the paper goods, coffee and juice for the drive.

Door prizes were provided by the North Central Montana Cattlewomen, St. Gabriel’s PCCW, Judy Johnson and Donna Murdy. Prizes were awarded to Allison Gray, Cameron Huestis, Elmer Zarn, Sally Halingstad, Amanda Stroebe, Josh Nordboe and Shirley Mackenzie.

Everyone’s willingness and dedication to the Red Cross Blood Drive is very much appreciated. None of this could be done without you. With that being said, there are many opportunities for volunteering with the Red Cross Blood Drive. If you are not able to donate blood but would like to be involved in a life saving volunteer opportunity, we would love to hear from you. Just an hour or two of your time helps tremendously.

The next blood drive will be Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at Wallner Hall. We are looking forward to seeing you all there.
