The Chinook Sugarbeeters battled their way back into the Montana Class C Eight-man Football Playoffs this fall under the direction of first year Head Coach Mike Jones.

The 'Beeter finished the season with a 5-5 record and were rewarded with six players earning post season recognition.

Senior Brendan Edwards earns Northern C post-season recognition for the second year in a row. Edwards was again honored for his play on both sides of the ball being named 1st Team All-Conference Defensive End and 2nd Team All-Conference Tight End.

Edwards was consistently in the backfield pressuring the quarterback, batting balls down or stopping runners for a loss. On offense he helped protect the quarterback and opened up holes for the running game while also providing a reliable target in the passing game.

A season ago senior Tye Mitchell was recognized for his efforts at Center on the offensive line. This fall he was again rewarded for his play but this time as an Offensive Guard.

Mitchell was instrumental in the 'Beeters offensive scheme and was counted on to open up holes and provide protection.

Running through those holes was senior Runningback James Christensen. After proving himself as a workhorse for the 'Beeter running game this past season, he was selected to the Northern C All-Conference 2nd Team.

Christensen earned Honorable Mention Honors as an Outside Linebacker a season ago. This year his impact on the defensive side of the ball was impressive and that added impact garnered 2nd Team All-Conference recognition.

Senior Isaac Bell rejoined the Sugarbeeter football team this fall after sitting out his sophomore and junior seasons. His impact was immediate. Bell proved to be nearly unguardable right out of the gate and quickly forced teams to focus on him whenever he lined up out wide. Bell was recognized for his efforts by being named 1st Team Wide Receiver.

Senior Trajan Hannum quarterbacked the offense and secured the defense from his Safety position all season long. Hannum was counted on to read defenses, call audibles and make throws and was rewarded with Honorable Mention Quarterback honors. On defense he kept plays in front of him and intercepted several balls to earn Honorable Mention honors at Safety.

Junior Sam Dumas has made a name for himself as a 'big hitter' filling holes to make big stops or covering wide outs in coverage. His play was crucial to his teams success and earned him 2nd Team All-Conference recognition.
