The movie today will be “A Dog Named Christmas” at 1:00 p.m. in the library meeting room. The movie is not rated, and it runs for one hour and 35 minutes. Everyone is welcome to attend, and refreshments will be served. “A Very Merry Mixup” will be the movie next Wednesday. If anyone has a request for a movie, just let us know and we will do our best to show it. You can also let Marlene at the Senior Center know what you’d like to see.

Come take a look at the selection of Christmas books on the display table for the month of December and check out a few to enjoy!

We have a couple non-fiction books ready to go this week. “Homebody: A Guide to Creating the Spaces you Never Want to Leave” by Joanna Gaines walks you through how to create a home that reflects the personalities and stories of the people who live there. Using examples from her own farmhouse as well as a range of other homes, this comprehensive guide will help you assess your priorities and instincts, as well as your likes and dislikes, with practical steps for navigating and embracing your authentic design style. “Becoming” is an intimate, powerful, and inspiring memoir by the former First Lady of the United States Michelle Obama.


We have several fiction books available this week. In “Target: Alex Cross” by James Patterson a killer elite--six assassins--are on the loose; so is Alex Cross. Stephanie Plum faces the toughest puzzle of her career in “Look Alive Twenty-five” by Janet Evanovich. “Long Road to Mercy” by David Baldacci introduces readers to a remarkable new character, Atlee Pine, an FBI agent with special skills assigned to the remote wilds of the southwestern United States who must confront a new threat . . . and an old nightmare. “Beauchamp Hall” by Danielle Steel is the uplifting story of an ordinary woman embracing an extraordinary adventure, and the daring choice that transforms her world.

New movies available for checkout are The Christmas Train, Incredibles 2, Alpha and The Meg.

Story Time is Tuesday mornings at 10:30 a.m. Kids of all ages and abilities are welcome to attend. Middle School Hangout, for kids in grades 6-8 is held on Tuesday afternoons from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. LEGO Club is Thursday afternoons from 3:30-4:30 p.m. and is open to kids in grades K-6. Younger kids are welcome to attend with an adult.
