Harlem will hold its Annual Country Christmas and Chili Cook-off Sunday

December 5, 2018

December greeted Blaine County with a nice fresh blanket of snow and following Thanksgiving, Black Friday and Cyber Monday we should all be in the Holiday spirit.

Several Churches have or will be holding their annual bazaars and Christmas dinners, local schools will be holding Christmas Concerts and the spirit of the season will be all around us. A big part of that Holiday Spirit will be the Harlem Country Christmas and Chili Cook-off. This year it will take place on Sunday, December 9th from 3 - 6:00 p.m. at New Horizons.

There will be plenty to do for those wishing to attend and everyone is invited to take part in the festivities.

Things will get underway with vendor set up Sunday afternoon beginning at 2:30 p.m. Vendors will be open at 3:00 p.m. ready to serve the public.

Old Saint Nick will be on hand of course and youngsters can have their pictures taken with Santa from 3:00 - 5:00 p.m.

Those who fancy themselves as master chef’s or connoisseurs of Chili, whether consuming or making will be interested in the Chili Cook-off. Entries must be turned in by 3:30 p.m. The Cook-off will take place from 4:00 - 6:00 p.m.

Food samples from the Civic Association Cook Book will also be available for those in attendance to enjoy. A raffle will also take place providing visitors with an opportunity to win some Christmas joy. If you have questions contact, Kayla Hudon (353-4620).
