The movie today will be I Can Only Imagine at 1:00 p.m. It is rated PG and runs for 1 hour and 50 minutes. Everyone is welcome to attend and refreshments will be served. Green Grass of Wyoming will be the movie next week.

The book display for January is titled From Page to Screen. All the books on display have been made into movies. Check one out, read it, then see the movie or if you've seen the movie, read the book and see which is better!

Story Time is Tuesday mornings at 10:30 a.m. Middle School Hangout is Tuesday afternoons from 3:30 to 4:30 and is open to kids in grades 6 to 8. Wednesdays we show a movie at 1:00 p.m. and Thursdays is LEGO Club for kids in grades K through 6.

We have a couple of non-fiction books ready this week. "Farmer, Rancher, Fisherman" by Miriam Horn is the story of a huge, largely hidden, and entirely unexpected conservation movement in America. Unfolding as a journey down the Mississippi, from the Montana Rockies to the Kansas wheat fields and the Gulf of Mexico, families who work the land and sea are crossing political divides to find unexpected ways to protect the natural resources vital to their livelihoods and the nation. Taking place during the most critical period of our nation's birth, "The First Conspiracy: the Secret Plot to Kill George Washington" by Brad Meltzer tells a remarkable and previously untold piece of American history that not only reveals George Washington's character, but also illuminates the origins of America's counterintelligence movement that led to the modern day CIA.

New fiction this week includes several from bestselling authors. "The Burglar" by Thomas Perry is a thriller about an unlikely burglar, a young woman in her 20s, who realizes she must solve a string of murders, or else become the next victim. A panic-stricken woman runs in the dead of night, battered and bloodied, desperate to find help. Is it an unfathomable loss or an unthinkable crime? Tami Hoag keeps you guessing in "The Boy" her most harrowing thriller yet. In "Turning Point" by Danielle Steel, four trauma doctors-the best and brightest in their field-confront exciting new challenges, both personally and professionally, when given an unusual opportunity. A man's quest to find answers for those who are haunted by the past leads him deeper into the shadows in "Untouchable" by Jayne Ann Krentz.
