April 3, 2019

Chinook's Meadowlark Elementary was full of Irish Spirit over the Saint Patrick's Day holiday. Mrs. Courtney Bell's first grade class had an exciting week in the classroom as they attempted to catch the elusive Leprechaun on Saint Patrick's Day. The class was assigned a family project to make Leprechaun traps. The students and families did an outstanding job on this project. Pictured above are the students that tried to capture the elusive Leprechaun.

The kids had a great time doing the project with their families. The following are comments made by the students:

Aspen: I had fun making my trap. I had fun spending time with my mom making it.

Kynlie: I had fun making it. My mom helped me a little bit. I put food in my trap.

Piper: I liked hanging out with mom. I liked decorating it. My little brother ate my candy coins.

Sasha: I liked that I drew the sign. I like that he/she will see the gold and he will jump down and get stuck in a sticky mouse trap.

Kendall: I made a hat trap. I liked that mom & dad helped me. I hope I catch a Leprechaun....
