Catherine Mary Walker Cichosz

Catherine Mary Walker Cichosz, 79, passed away on May 23, 2019 due to an ongoing illness. Catherine was born on October 17, 1939 at her home, located between Hays and Lodge Pole Montana, on the Ft. Belknap Indian Reservation, to Johny and Theresa (Chandler) Walker.

Catherine went to St. Paul's High School located in Hays and graduated in 1959, after which she enlisted in the U.S. Army. In 1961 Catherine completed her tour with the US Army as a medic. She then married Wilfred Arthur Warrior. Catherine and Wilfred moved to Forks Washington, and later in 1963 moved to San Francisco.

Catherine attended nursing school during this time and gave birth to Lisa Warrior-Never Miss a Shot and Stanley Warrior. Catherine and family then moved back to Montana in 1973 where she worked as a nurse at Sacred Heart Hospital located in Havre, Montana. In 1975, she moved to Harlem where she worked for the Harlem Rest Home until 1977. In 1978, she married George Cichosz, and from that union two boys were born; Glen Leo Cichosz, and Raymond Thomas Cichosz. She later went to work at Ft. Belknap Hospital as a PHN and as a CHR and then moved on to Home Health care until her retirement in 2005.


She is preceded in death by her parents, Johny and Theresa Walker, her siblings; Virginia Walker, Charlie Walker, Jimmy Walker, Henry Walker, Teddy Walker, Tommy Walker, and John Walker.

Catherine is survived by her husband George Cichosz, siblings Raymond and Bonnie Walker, Clifford and Judy Walker, Children Lisa Walker Never Miss a Shot, Stanley Warrior, Glen Cichosz, and Raymond Cichosz. Eight Grandchildren and five Great Grandchildren.
