Sounds on the Square, a free summer concert series, continues on June 19 with the ROC band, whose members are from both Chinook and Havre. These concerts will recur each Wednesday through August 14 at the Town Square, 332 First Street in Havre, Montana, and feature various local musicians.

Hosted by the Havre Chamber of Commerce and sponsored by NorthWestern Energy, along with Triangle Communications and Triangle Mobile, Sounds on the Square music will start at 6:00 p.m. and continue until 8:00 p.m., weather permitting.

Sounds on the Square on June 19 will emanate from the ROC Band, when musicians Roger Fischer, Brad Taylor, and other band members will share their brand of Really Old Country.

On June 26, the Square will play host to the country and classic rock band, Plowed Under. Members of the band are Chinook native TJ Overcast and his bandmates Justin Kallenberger, Rob Everingham, and Dave Carlson. Plowed Under has shared the stage with Dirty Shame, Mark Wills, Mark Chestnut, the Bellamy Brothers, and many other musicians at the Headwaters Country Jam, which they have played for several years in Three Forks, Montana.

A mix of life-long country and rock musicians who consolidated their talents to put their twist on classic and new country hits, Plowed Under invites area residents to join them on the Square to “get loud and get Plowed!” According to their Facebook page, the Plowed Under band is a high energy, Black Dirt Country and Classic Rock band that mixes traditional country with some rock and blues to create a sound “as big as the big sky they live under.” The band’s press contact, Rob Everingham can be reached by calling (406) 945-4481.

After beginning the concert series with three country bands, the Havre Chamber will host seven additional musical groups and their various styles:

• July 24 – Latigo Band - Country

• July 31 – Tales from Ghost Town – Folk/Alt. Country

• August 7 – You Knew Me When – Indie Folk Rock

• August 14 – Blind Luck – Classic Rock
