The Chinook Lions and Harlem Swim Teams sent swimmers east and west over the final weekend of the regular season. Both teams were represented in Glendive and Chester as they prepare for the Eastern Divisional this weekend in Scobey.

In all, three swimmers won High Point Trophies in their respective division with two coming at the Chester Invitational and one in Glendive.

The Lions received a number of great efforts in Chester but they were led in the pool by Katie Tilleman who touched the wall first in all three individual events. Tilleman won the 9-10 Midget Girls 50 Meter Freestyle in :34.29, the 50 Meter Breaststroke in :47.00 and the 50 Meter Backstroke in :41.17.

Tilleman also swam a leg on the 9-10 Midget Girls winning relay teams. Rachel Stephens, Lori Mord, Mara Edwards and Tilleman won the 100 Meter Freestyle Relay with a time of 1:10.61. The quartet then swam their way to gold in the 100 Meter Medley Relay, completing the four strokes in 1:24.40.

Harlem's Shayne Stiffarm took the 11-12 Junior Boys High Point home with him after capturing the top spot in each of his three events.

Stiffarm first won the 200 Meter Individual Medley on Saturday with a time of 2:50.94. Sunday he earned two more first place finishes, winning the 50 Meter Breaststroke in :40.17 and the 50 Meter Butterfly in :34.41.

Harlem's Andrew Rasmussen won all the of his 15-19 Senior Boy events in Glendive. Rasmussen won the 200 Meter Individual Medley with a time of 2:41.07, the 100 Meter Freestyle (1:00.79) and the 100 Meter Backstroke (1:11.53).

Hunter Speaksthunder touched the wall first in the 9-10 Midget Boys 50 Meter Backstroke, winning the event in :48.04. Adding another first place finish for the Harlem Swim Team in Glendive.

In Chester, the Chinook Lions received individual wins from Daniel Tilleman in the 11-12 Junior Boys 50 Meter Freestyle and 100 Meter Freestyle. Kohen Sullivan, added a pair of wins in the Junior division, winning the 50 Meter Backstroke and the 200 Meter Freestyle.

Tilleman, Sullivan and teammates Brockton Elliot and Nathaniel Plainfeather joined forces to win the 200 Meter Freestyle Relay with a time of 2:16.94 as well as the 200 Medley Relay in 2:38.95.

Both teams will be in Scobey this weekend to take part in the Eastern Divisional. Qualifiers from the Eastern Divisional will then compete at the State Swim Meet in Sidney on August 3-4.
