Chinook Blood Drive a Success

Elmer Zarn - 18 Gallon Pin

The Chinook Blood Drive was held at Wallner Hall on Tuesday September 10th. We had 37 presenting donors with 34 units collected on a goal of 39. A round of applause for all those who attended. We are grateful for each and every one of you who make our success possible.

Receiving pins this time were Elmer Zarn who received an 18 gallon pin, Casey Overturf received a 2 gallon pin and Jana Mcpherson-Haur received a 1 gallon pin. Great job!!

The canteen was hosted by the ladies of the LDS church and all their goodies were, as always enjoyed by all of our donors, volunteers and guests. We are all so happy to have had you participate in this important aspect of the blood drive.

Pastor Jack Mattingly and the United Methodist Church once again so graciously provided the site for the drive at Wallner Hall. Set up for the drive was accomplished by Judy Johnson and Linda Thompson. Clean up for the drive was made possible by Chrissy Downs and the Jump Youth Group. Their willingness to assist is appreciated more than you know.

Door Prizes were donated by the North Central Montana Cattlewomen, Tanis Ross, and the ladies of the LDS church. Taking home door prices were Elmer Zarn, Don Ross, Roxanne Townsend, Diane Reishus, Shellie Pruttis, Judy Johnson, Ann Davies and Josh Nordboe.

Others who most certainly need to be recognized for their willingness to contribute to the smooth running of the drive each time are the ladies at the welcome table: Linda Thompson, Judy Johnson and Patti Treftz. Paulette Keller again promptly delivered those beef gift certificates to me before the drive.

To each and every one of you, my gratitude for your willingness to donate and to participate in one way or another is unending. I apologize in advance if I have forgotten anybody.
