Blaine County Library

October 9, 2019

Free People Reading Freely Book Club will meet Monday October 21st at 7:00 p.m. For the next meeting we will read the Jamie Ford books. Stop in and pick up a copy of Hotel on the Corner of Bitter and Sweet or Love and Other Consolation Prizes. You may choose to read one or the other or both. Attendees voted to change the format of the club from reading just banned books to having members select the books that everyone will read.

We have an interesting selection of new books available this week. Inside Montana Politics: A Reporter's View from the Trenches by Mike Dennison treats readers to the rare insights and highlights of a storied career in journalism, along with revelations that have never been exposed--until now. In The Chelsea Girls by Fiona Davis, the bright lights of the theater district, the glamour and danger of 1950s New York, and the wild scene at the iconic Chelsea Hotel come together in a dazzling novel about a twenty-year friendship that will irrevocably change two women's lives. Elevator Pitch by Linwood Barclay is an edge-of-your-seat thriller in which a series of disasters paralyzes New York City with fear. This heart-pounding tale does for elevators what Psycho did for showers and Jaws did for the beach. Land of Wolves by Craig Johnson is the latest Longmire mystery. The Water Dancer by Ta-Nehisi Coates is a novel about a magical gift, a devastating loss, and an underground war for freedom. This is the latest Oprah's Book Club selection.

There is always something going on at the library. Check us out on Facebook or look us up on our website at http:www.blainecountylibrary.org for up to date information about what's going on!
