Plan to attend the next Free People Reading Freely Book Club Monday October 21st at 7:00 p.m. We are reading the Jamie Ford books. Stop in and pick up a copy of Hotel on the Corner of Bitter and Sweet or Love and Other Consolation Prizes. You may choose to read one or the other or both. Attendees voted to change the format of the club from reading just banned books to having members select the books that everyone will read. If you have a book or several books you think we should read, bring those ideas to Book Club!

Next week we will have a Halloween movie for our After-School Hangout, which is now open to grades 5 and 6. There will be snacks and kids are welcome to wear costumes. Wednesday we will be showing the same movie at for our newly launched Teen Scene program. This is for students 13 and up. We will have snacks and costumes are encouraged for this group as well.

A big thank you to Kenny Finley for donating pumpkins for our children's programs. Storytime children and After School Hangout kids painted pumpkins and had a lot of fun doing it! We appreciated the donation!

We have several new movies available this week. The new Aladdin starring Will Smith, Harvest Love a Hallmark movie, and Spiderman Far From Home are ready for checkout.

The Book Display for October is full of Spooky Reads, including these new thrillers: And Then You Were Gone by R.J. Jacobs, No Exit by Taylor Adams, The Stranger Inside by Laura Benedict, Her One Mistake by Heidi Perks.

There is always something going on at the library. Check us out on Facebook or look us up on our website at http: http://www.blainecountylibrary.org for up to date information about what's going on!
