The Chinook Surgarbeeters await player introduction prior to their final match of the season against the North Star Knights Saturday at the Northern C Divisional in Cascade.

The Chinook Sugarbeeters saw their volleyball season come to an end this past Saturday at the Northern C Divisional in Cascade. The 'Beeters won their opening match 3-1 over the Highwood/Geraldine Rivals Thursday afternoon but then fell to the Fort Benton Longhorns 3-0 on Friday and the North Star Knights 3-1 on Saturday.

The Harlem Lady Cats completed the best volleyball season in School History following the conclusion of their time at the Northern B Divisional in Wolf Point. The Lady Cats fell in their opener to the Fairfield Eagles 3-0 and then bowed out after a tough five set loss to the Malta M-ettes.

The Sugarbeeters opened with a comfortable 3-1 win over the Highwood/Gerald Rivals. The 'Beeters dropped the first set 27-25 but won the next three 25-16, 25-14, 25-20 to advance.

The Sugarbeeter attack was led by junior Jayden Miller's 10 Kills, junior Delaney Kellam and junior Hailey Bell each added eight in the win. Miller also led the team in Digs with seven and Blocks with three.

Friday morning in quarterfinal action, Chinook faced the Fort Benton Longhorns. The two teams split their regular season matches with each winning on the others court. At the Norther nC however it was Fort Benton in complete control start to finish.

The Longhorns won the opening set 25-12 and took set number two 25-13. Chinook played better in set number three but lost 25-18 to fall into the loser out bracket Saturday morning. Kellam recorded seven Kills in the loss and junior Ginger Hauer had 16 Assists and 15 Digs. Freshman Bree Swanson totaled six Blocks.

Chinook looked to continue their season against the North Star Knights, a team they had already defeated four times this season.

That task proved to be too much as they fell in four sets 25-23, 25-20, 13-25, 25-10 to see their season end. Kellam tallied 11 Kills and Hauer 29 assists. Miller added 18 digs to the 'Beeter effort.

Harlem entered the Northern B Divisional as the District 2B No. 2 seed and opened play against the District 1B No. 3 Fairfield Eagles.

The Lady Cats found themselves in a big hole early, dropping the opening set 25-11. The girls played much better in set number two but came up a bit short in a 25-22 set two loss. Set number three had the Eagles establish an early lead secure a 25-18 third set win to send the Lady Cats into loser out action Friday morning.

A familiar opponent awaited the Lady Cats in the Malta M-ettes. Harlem defeated the Malta squad in both regular season matches for the first time in school history.

Both regular season matches went five sets and their match at the Northern B would also go five sets. This time however it was the M-ettes that came out on top ending the Lady Cats season.

Malta earned a hard fought 26-24 opening set win and the Lady Cats returned the favor in set number two, winning 28-26. The Lady Cats looked to be in control after set number three saw them post a 25-10 win to go up 2-1.

The M-ettes quickly recovered to take set number four 25-16 and end the match with a 15-11 fifth set win.
