January 8, 2020

Free People Reading Freely book club will meet Monday January 13, 2020. This is a scheduling change. The original date was January 20th, which is Martin Luther King Day. The group chose the book “Where the Crawdads Sing” by Della Owens and we have copies of the book and the audio book available. New members are welcome to join us.

Avoid the winter blues and cozy up with a blue book from the January book display.

We have a number of books by some of our patron’s favorite authors ready for checkout this week. In “Treason” by Stuart Woods, Stone Barrington is notified of a delicate situation with-in the country’s administration after returning to New York City following a whirlwind British excursion. A close friend requires his expertise and subtlety to eradicate a destructive presence in a classified agency--only it soon becomes clear that this renegade was sent by a rival Stone has encountered before. At an elite private school in Massachusetts, a wide circle of lives will be forever changed by a devastating series of events in “Moral Compass” by Danielle Steel. Pike Logan tracks highly-trained Russian assassins to Brazil in the blistering, action-packed thriller “Hunter, Killer” by Brad Taylor. “Westering Women” by Sandra Dallas is an inspiring celebration of sisterhood on the perilous Overland Trail.

There is always something going on at the library. Check us out on Facebook or look us up on our website at http: http://www.blainecountylibrary.org for up to date information about what’s going on!
