Harlem Library

The library is hosting a parenting class series beginning Feb. 6, 6:00-7:30 and lasting for five weeks. There is no charge and child care will be provided. The Book Challenge for Jan. is to read a book with an ugly cover. Contact the library with the title you have read. The challenge for Feb. is to read a book that reminds you of someone you love. This is the last week to participate in the library word cloud activity at the library. Stop by a give us a word that describes our library. A Census 2020 Representative will be at the library Feb. 4, noon to 4 P.M. taking applications for workers for the upcoming Census. The library will be closed Feb. 7 so staff may attend training. Check our Facebook page to join the online book club which will read the book “The Institute” by Stephen King. The first set of questions will be posted Feb.3. The Book Club is invited to pick up the new selection “Little Fires Everywhere” the week of Feb. 3. The first discussion will be Feb. 10, 4 P.M.


Blaine County Library

Story Time is Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. After School Hangout is Tuesdays from 3:30 – 4:30 and is open to students in grades 5 and up. LEGO/STEAM Club is Thursdays at 3:30 p.m. for students K-6. Younger children are welcome but must be accompanied by an adult.

Montana Veteran Affairs

Judy Loendorf and/or Steve Mulonet, Service Officers for the Montana Veterans Affairs will be visiting the Fort Belknap – IHS CHR Conference Room – 1:30 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 13, 2020 to meet with Veterans who are interested in applying for benefits. If you are interested in applying for benefits, please bring a copy of your discharge paperwork (DD214) with you.

Blaine County Relay for Life

IMPORTANT Organizing meeting for the Blaine County Relay for Life. We need a representative from each team to be at the meeting February 1, 2020 at 1:00 pm at the Chinook Eagles.

Blaine County Spelling Bee

The Blaine County Spelling Bee will be held in the Chinook High School Auditorium on Wednesday, February 5, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. Students grades 4-8 throughout the County will be competing. Please call the Blaine County Superintendents office for more information.

Chinook Adult Ed

Travel Meeting

Doug Hayes will host a meeting in room 101 for those interested in two upcoming trips on Monday, February 10 at 6:00 p.m. We will take a trip to DC in June (tentative dates are June 9th to June 16th) and a second trip to Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, and Acadia National Park in Maine from Sept. 16th to the 24th.
