On May 1 and May 2, from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m., Shores Floral & Gift will be hosting photographer Adrianna Standiford from Images by Adrianna, who will be set up in the greenhouse to photograph children and families, just in time for Mother’s Day gift giving.

With Mother’s Day approaching, Bonnie Weber, owner of Shores Floral & Gift who has a history of supporting artists, decided to collaborate with Standiford and create an event for the community. Each portrait session will be fifteen minutes and will produce five digital photographs for gifting a special mother or grandmother figure.

“I admire a young person like Adrianna that spreads her wings and follows her dreams. She is a fledgling photographer, with a business name. The idea of a photo shoot popped into my mind after I made a really cute little display area in the greenhouse, and I thought ‘Hey! This would be perfect for photos,’” Weber stated.

“I am grateful for this opportunity to take photos in the greenhouse at Shores with a bench and background setup among the plants and flowers,” Standiford exclaimed. “We will, of course, be respecting social distancing guidelines to ensure everyone can enjoy this experience safely,” she added.

As far as people receiving their photos, Standiford prefers to provide digital copies, but she is willing to print them as 5x7 prints for an additional cost if patrons desire. This puts the photos’ arrival time out of her hands, although she suspects they would arrive the Friday before Mother’s Day.

“In order for them to be gifts, it would be more efficient to distribute digital copies,” Standiford stated.
