Bennett to visit with Blaine Residents

August 12, 2020

Due to the limitations resulting from the Covid 19 pandemic, the Blaine County Democrats are launching a series of “Zoom to meet the Candidates” events ahead of this year’s elections. The first candidate invited to participate in these virtual town halls is State Senator Bryce Bennett, Democratic candidate for Secretary of State. Montana’s Secretary of State is responsible for overseeing the election process in Montana, managing business registrations, and serving on the five-member State Land Board.

Democratic Chairman Greg Jergeson expressed pleasure that Bryce Bennett is the first candidate to participate in this series because of his ties to Blaine County. Bryce’s mother, Kathe McPherson, grew up in Chinook and is well known to many in this community. Kathe will be joining Bryce on this “Zoom” event.

State Senator Bryce Bennett has established a record of working with legislators from both political parties during his service in both the Montana House and Senate. Even though a legislator from Missoula, Bryce cited having grown up in the small eastern Montana town of Hysham, where he learned the importance of rural Montana to our State, as the reason he eagerly agreed to serve on the House and Senate Committees on Agriculture.

To participate, you must RSVP to Greg Jergeson at gjergeson@gmail.com with your name, mailing address, and email address. You will receive a reply email with the URL for this meeting when it becomes available, and your voter registration in Blaine County has been confirmed. You will need the Zoom app on your favorite device to participate.
