Blaine County General Election to be Conducted by Mail Ballot with In-Person Option.

September 2, 2020

The November 3, 2020 Presidential General Election will be conducted by mail ballot with an in-person voting option, at the Blaine County Courthouse. Beginning October 2, 2020 through Election Day, November 3, 2020; voters can vote/drop-off ballots mailed to them, request and vote a ballot, update your voter registration & register to vote.

Ballots will be mailed to active and provisionally registered voters beginning October 9, 2020. Return postage is prepaid meaning you do not need to add any postage to the return envelope if you return your ballot by mail. Ballots should be returned by mail at least one week before Election Day, November 3, 2020, or returned in person by 8:00 p.m. on Election Day. It is suggested that you make sure your registration is up to date by visiting the My Voter Page, http://www.myvoterpagemt.com. Registration and address updates can be mailed, faxed, or e-mailed until October 26, after that date you would need to appear in person to register to vote.

We hope that voters will take advantage of the opportunity to vote through the mail and to vote early. This will reduce the number of people that need to vote in-person on Election Day and will therefore reduce the risk of COVID-19 transmission to voters and election workers. Our in-person operations will be socially distanced and operated according to public health guidelines. Your right to vote and your safety are important to us.

We kindly ask that citizens be a source of trusted election information in your community. Direct voting questions to your local election’s office, 357-3240, or the Secretary of State’s election office, 444-9608. Only share social media posts if you know they contain accurate information. Official sources of information include: the Blaine County Election’s webpage, the Montana Association of Clerk & Recorder’s & Election Administrator’s website, Voting In Montana website, & the Secretary of State’s website.
