Brady Zellmer, Brody Henry, Sarah Gillett add to our List of Successful Youth Hunters

November 25, 2020

Turner Elementary 6th grader Brady Zellmer shows off the nice Buck he took near Hogeland, MT.

We are in the final week of the Montana Big Game season and hunters are still in on the go looking to fill their tags before the season ends this weekend.

It has been a great honor to highlight the many successes of our local youth hunters and we are proud to present this weeks tandem of Brady Zellmer, Brody Henry and Sarah Gillett.

Brady Zellmer, 11, is a sixth grader at Turner Elementary. Brady was hunting alongside Jordan and Caleb Zellmer when he successfully filled his Tag. Brady used a .243 Ruger on his hunt that took place west of Hogeland.

Following his hunt Brady had some words of advice, "It was fun, but don't shoot one on the edge of a hill, cause the pull back to the top wasn't fun!"

Brody Henry, 15, a sophomore at Havre High filled his tag this past Saturday while hunting north of his Grandpa and Grandma Farmer's place west of Chinook.

Havre High School sophomore Brody Henry harvested this Buck behind his Grandparents place just west of Chinook.

Brody has proven to be quite the hunter, filling his tags each season. This year he used a 6.5 Creedmore to harvest his Buck. Brody hiked into the field some distance before taking his shot. Brody called upon his cousin Braden to help drag the animal out.

Sarah Gillett, 16, a sophomore at Chinook High School was hunting south of Chinook near the Clear Creek Road on Saturday, November 21. Joining her on the hunt was her Dad Brian. Sarah successfully filled her tag with a nice shot from her .260 Remington.

Congratulations to Brady, Brody and Sarah on their successful hunts!

The Blaine County Journal ~ News Opinion would love to hear about your successful hunt. The time is winding down in the 2020 season and we hope to share several more success stories. Please send a picture along with a little bit of information describing the hunt to bcjads@mtintouch.net
