The Montana Big Game regular season concluded this past weekend and hunters found plenty of success filling their tags. There were many successful hunters over the final weekend and in the coming editions we hope to get them all in.

It has been a great honor to highlight the many successes of our local youth hunters and we are proud to present this weeks tandem of Wylee Simenson and Rangler Skoyen.

Wylee Simenson, 15, is a freshman at Chinook High School. Wylee used a 30-06 on his recent hunt just north of Chinook. Joining Wylee on the hunt was his Dad Justin, and his Uncle Ty.

"I enjoyed spending time with my Dad and Uncle, and learned lots from them. I also love how unique the antlers were with the cool kickers on the side"

Rangler Skoyen, 11, sixth grader at Zurich Elementary shows off his nice Buck. Rangler also found success this past weekend, harvesting his first Cow Elk.

Rangler Skoyen, 11, a sixth grader at Zurich Elementary had a stellar final week of the Big Game Season. Rangler first filled his Deer tag, with a nice size Buck and then over the weekend harvested his first Cow Elk.

Rangler was hunting with his Savage .243, and harvested his second deer but first ever whitetail buck on Thanksgiving day, hunting near Cleveland with family. Rangler's fortune continued on Saturday, farther south of Chinook, where Rangler filled his elk tag, "It was a good experience and I had a lot of fun.

Congratulations to Wylee and Rangler on your successful hunts! The Blaine County Journal ~ News Opinion has greatly enjoyed covering all of the areas successful hunter this season. We are not done though, the season may have concluded, but we have more stories to share and we will get those in over the coming weeks.

It has been a very successful year covering our local hunters and when we have published the last one it will be the most stories we have shared in a single year. Thank you all for your pictures.
