Joseph Newton Strike, Mato' Pa'(Bear Head), 39 passed away on Feb. 25, 2021 at the Indian Health Service in Ft. Belknap, MT.
A Viewing was held on Sunday February 28, 2021 at Wilderness Funeral Home from 7-9pm. The Graveside service was held at the Strike Family Cemetery on March 1, 2021 at 11:00am.
Joseph was born to Margaret and John R. Strike Sr. on February 11, 1982. He attended elementary and High School in Harlem, MT graduating with the class of 2000. He studied Allied health and science at ANC in 2002. Then went on to study Technology and design at the U of M from 2004 to 2006. He also studied drama/dance at the U of M in 2014. He maintained numerous jobs. He attended InMed in 98 or 99.
He enjoyed his time at home with his grand children and parents. He like to cook on holidays and special occasions. He enjoyed his many friends, loved his music and riding shotgun wherever he went.
He loved to travel and meet new people and friends along the way. Special lifelong friends like JP Cameron, Josh Rustad, Jay Tsosie, Shon Tester, Mathew Bell, Camille Short Lone Bear, Felecia Mount, Helena Plumage, Vernice Healy, Nancie Boushie, and the Class of 2000
He is survived by his parents Margaret and John R Strike Sr., Sister Rochelle Strike of Ft. Belknap, Numerus Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Nieces, Nephews and Grandchildren.
He is Proceeded in death by a sister Michelle Speak Thunder, Niece Janika Doney, Maternal Grandparents Mary Lousie Talks Different and Joseph Wing, Paternal Grand Parents Mildred, Enemyboy and Newton Stike.
