We have one non-fiction book available this week. "Killing the Mob” by Bill O’Reilly is the tenth book in the Killing series and it focuses on the Mob and the FBI’s fight against it. “Finding Ashley” is the latest from Danielle Steel. It is the story of two strong, brave women turning wrenching loss into reconnection, and a family reunited after bringing dark secrets into the light. “A Distant Shore” by Karen Kingsbury is a high stakes love story of danger, passion, and faith. John Grisham takes you to a different kind of court in “Sooley,” his first basketball novel. Samuel “Sooley” Sooleymon is a raw, young talent with big hoop dreams … and even bigger challenges off the court. In “Hour of the Witch” by Chris Bohjalian, a young Puritan woman--faithful, and resourceful, but afraid of the demons that dog her soul--plots her escape from a violent marriage in this riveting and propulsive novel of historical suspense. “21st Birthday” is the new women’s murder club novel by James Patterson.

May is “Mystery Month” and we have a display of new and older mysteries to choose from. We decided to run the gardening book display through May. If you are looking for innovative gardening ideas be sure to look at the selection on the display table.

Over the next couple of weeks, the Meadowlark students will be visiting the library with Mrs. Harry during their Library Skills class. They will be learning all about the Summer Reading Program. We have a lot of fun programs planned for the summer. Keep an eye out for a letter with details of the Summer Reading Program and the weekly schedule of events.

We would like to remind patrons about MontanaLibrary2Go. Blaine County Library is a participating library. If you need to learn how to access MontnaLibrary2Go, just give us a call and we can walk you through the process. If you need in-person help with your device, we can do that too!

Blaine County Library is still following CDC guidelines for preventing the spread of COVID. We are still under a mask mandate implemented by the Blaine County Commissioners after the Governor lifted the statewide mandate. The library’s Pandemic/Epidemic Policy gives the library board the authority to continue requiring masks, handwashing and social distancing until the CDC no longer recommends those measures to prevent the spread of COVID, and the library will be following that policy.
