We've Got The County Covered
Montana Actors’ Theatre (MAT) is looking for singers, dancers, musicians, jugglers, fire eaters, and other performers interested in participating in a special preshow event on June 19.
Performing acts should be no longer than fifteen minutes and appropriate for all audiences. Furthermore, in keeping with the evening’s theme, MAT is most interested in performances with a Renaissance feel to them. Although the evening is a free family friendly event, performers are welcome to collect tips during their performances.
Anyone interested should contact MAT by emailing info@mtactors.com.
The preshow event will take place at the Amphitheatre behind Pershing Hall on the campus of Montana State University Northern on Saturday, June 19 at 5:00 p.m. At 7:00 p.m., following the preshow, MAT and the Atchison family will present their interpretation of William Shakespeare production A Midsummer Night’s Dream.
Food and beverage vendors will be on site for the convenience of theater-goers, including the Streatery Food Truck. Additionally, wine, beer, and mead will be available from MAT’s backstage lounge. Anyone wishing to sell food during the evening is encouraged to email MAT with their interest.
Audience members are encouraged to bring their own blankets and chairs for an evening outside enjoying one of Shakespeare’s best known comedies.
The presentation will have its opening night on Friday, June 18 at 7:00 p.m. with the bar opening at 6:30 p.m.
